What is SIPS?

SIPS (Stoughton Initiative for Parenting Support) is a community-based program through the Stoughton OASIS Coalition that provides parents and caregivers with education, resources, and support to help strengthen family relationships and promote healthy child and adolescent development. Through workshops, discussions, parenting programs, and community connections, SIPS empowers families with practical tools to navigate parenting challenges and support the well-being of their children.

Our Initiatives

Why Parenting Support Matters

Parents and caregivers are one of the strongest influences in a young person's life. Research shows that youth are less likely to use substances when they have supportive family relationships, open communication with caregivers, and clear expectations at home.

At SIPS, we help parents build the skills and connections that strengthen families. Through workshops, support groups, Table Talks, and educational resources, we empower caregivers with practical tools to support their children's healthy development and well-being.

Studies have found that family-based prevention programs can reduce youth substance use and improve communication, family relationships, and overall outcomes for young people.

Strong families are one of the most effective tools for preventing youth substance use and promoting lifelong wellness.
